Academic Support and Subject Tutoring Overview

At IHL, we pride ourselves on providing comprehensive educational consulting services to our students at every stage of their academic careers, including high school, college and graduate school. In this ever more competitive world, grades and extracurricular activities have a significant impact on personal development as well as academic and professional success. To help our students perform to the best of their abilities and build the most impressive track records, two of the programs we offer are academic support and subject tutoring.

Academic Support Program

IHL has been providing academic coaching and support services to high school and college students for more than a decade. This service is designed to help students best position themselves to achieve their academic and professional goals. We only work with a few dozen students each year, ensuring the personalized attention and focus that each student deserves.

We counsel students on a wide variety of topics, including:

Course selection
Extracurricular activity selection
Summer program selection
Internship and/or job selection and applications
Internship and/or job interview preparation
Fellowship / grant applications
Research and publications
Accommodations for learning disabilities

Subject Tutoring Program

Whatever subject you need to improve, IHL can help. We have a deep bench of consultants who provide subject tutoring for all academic courses. Our consultants work with students one-on-one to optimize academic performance. We use the student's syllabi, textbooks and other class/supplementary materials to create a curriculum that is best suited for each student.

All IHL consultants are experts in their respective fields and have performed at the top of their high school and college classes. They boast world-class academic, creative and professional achievements. In order to qualify to tutor a particular subject, our consultants must have achieved top grades in their own relevant coursework. Most importantly, they share a passion for teaching and mentoring students, and are available to offer support every step of the way.

Your location is not a factor in making sure you get the best tutor or coaching to meet your individual needs. Academic coaching and subject tutoring are available in-person at one of our offices or remotely via Skype, WizIQ or other videoconferencing platforms. We have worked with many students remotely and have found it to be as effective as in-person consultation.

As with all IHL programs, our academic coaching and subject tutoring services are completely à la carte. You can work with us on a single element of your academic pursuits or utilize us on a comprehensive basis. All work is billed on an hourly basis.
