Law School Subject Tutoring

IHL's law school subject tutoring program is an extension of the work we have been doing since 1996. Our core business is helping students with all of their law school-related needs. If you want to improve your grades across the board or are struggling with a particular course, working with IHL's passionate law school consultants can be the perfect solution. Our consultants work with law students to optimize academic performance and improve grades.

Our Tutors

Our law school subject tutoring program is staffed by consultants (both practicing attorneys and law students) who possess a breadth of experience in a particular field and/or have performed at the top of their law school classes at institutions such as Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Yale and Michigan. Our consultants tutor only those subjects in which they have received top grades.

All Topics

Our consulting staff can provide guidance on just about any law school course including both core first-year courses (such as constitutional law, criminal law, property, contracts, torts, legal writing, civil procedure) as well as more specialized electives.

Get Involved

In addition to law school subject tutoring, we also have consultants on staff who can assist a student with his or her involvement in law review or a journal as well as specialists who can advise law students on applications to law firms, clerkships, public interest organizations, government agencies and other companies.

Questions About Law School Subject Tutoring Prep

Tutoring is billed on an hourly basis. There is no minimum number of tutoring hours required to enroll with IHL. Contact our Chief of Staff Alex Kopko to discuss your options.
Wherever you are in the world, you can take advantage of our services. Law school subject tutoring is available in-person at our offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan, or New York City, or remotely via Skype, Zoom, FaceTime or other videoconferencing platforms. The majority of our students study with us remotely, and we have found it to be as effective as in-person consultation.
The foundation of IHL’s business model is client service and sophisticated advice. IHL does not take a cookie-cutter approach to working with students. We believe that an individualized plan and mutual trust are necessary for any effective tutoring and mentoring relationship. IHL works with only 100 to 200 students a year, to ensure that we maintain our high level of service and intimate client focus. We take a team-based approach to everything we do.
You can start subject tutoring at any time throughout the semester, depending on your needs and goals. Whether you want guidance from the very beginning to stay on top of your coursework, or you’re looking for targeted support as midterms or finals approach, we’re here to help. Starting early allows for consistent progress, but even last-minute preparation before exams can make a significant difference. Our tutoring is designed to meet you wherever you are in your studies and provide the tools you need to succeed.
