Mayssoun Bydon is the Founder and Managing Partner of IHL. She has been an industry leader in test preparation and application consultation since 1995. After cracking the code on the LSAT, Mayssoun decided to devise a curriculum that she felt she could teach to almost anyone. She started tutoring her curriculum during her senior year of college and achieved great results with test takers. Word got out about her acclaimed tutoring. She had, in fact, developed a one-of-a-kind LSAT program. Aside from her one-on-one tutoring, she started hosting weekend workshops and seminars at many of the top universities in the country.
Within a year, now a 1L at the University of Michigan Law School and with the help of one of her professors, she formed IHL and recruited a team of academics and consultants to help with the many clients she was amassing. Her tutors were able to mimic her results, achieving top scores for their students, affirming that her LSAT method was truly revolutionary. Today, IHL’s LSAT curriculum is widely regarded as the foremost LSAT program in the nation.
Over the next five years, Mayssoun expanded IHL’s services to cover the gamut of undergraduate and graduate admission exams and programs. She hired some of the country’s most passionate and intellectual scholars to create specialized curricula and coursework. Mayssoun herself went on to lead the application consulting arm of IHL, helping students and families navigate the admissions process with unrivaled expertise, immense success, and ease. Mayssoun now oversees a team. She and her team of consultants spend the majority of their time guiding students through admissions.
For the last two-plus decades, Mayssoun and IHL have been peerless in providing best-in-class, comprehensive, individualized services to students and families. Mayssoun is married with three young children, Zain, Mia and Kai. They have a cat, Milo, and a growing number of reptiles that her son Zain adores. Mayssoun enjoys spending time with her family, reading, politics, fashion, and watching Judge Judy, Shark Tank, and Law and Order. She and her husband, Ankur Rungta, are dedicated supporters of social justice efforts, education, and the arts, most notably the Michigan Opera Theatre.
